I think that if two identical twins were put in two identical situations that they would not chose the same method. People as a whole strive to be unique -even if is just like everyone else- but we strive in a way that cause us to make changes in our actions, mineute differences in each and every decision that pulls away from being like any identical counter part.

Personally, I think that those subtle changes are a large part of our existance. Existance itself running through countless senarios making small changes each time as to witness the effect of the change. Running these senarios until every possible possibility is exhausted and it has learned all that it possibly can and then it continues on.

To go into it at any length as people have done seems almost fruitless. People debate, not tell each other what is correct. Show your personal thoughts but do not get fistey over it

*Chuckles at Valdemar* Heh, you know I think I have been going at this discussion in the wrong way . . . but then loading a whole bunch of crap (i.e. why I have my personal view on it) is just far too involved and I am really not that comfortable with people here. . . How about I hit the first points, to show a possible different perspective on it and some of the first reasons why that point of view changed? Now please understand that this isn’t meant as anything to gain pity because I just cant stand that. Im simply trying to show that sometimes people go another way not because they want to sin and bite their thumbs at god but because things in life just happen to become different and easier if you turn a different way.

Lets see, um, when I was very young I was abused and raped repeatedly for over a year by an elder step cousin. So, being scared from that the outcome was that when I hit an age that I was sexual curious and interested my first interests were female because the male population simply scared me far to much. Now years later I am bisexual and I no longer fear the male gender, in fact I am married to a very sweet man, but I still view the same sex as a possibility. . . and biologically more than 70% of my mothers side of the family are either bisexual or homosexual *thinks for a moment* so, it isnt about god and ones sexual life never will be. All in all why does god or even the bible claim anything over a persons body let alone what gives them proof that they are correct, they are simply one possibility among many. If they are kind hearted people who did their absolute best for the people they love on a daily basis then why wouldn’t that make god happy? An just because I don’t believe in god I do believe in Existence, in fact the closest thing that comes to my own personal beliefs would be the Pythagorean perspective. *shrugs*

Hum . . very, very interesting *Grins* Okay *takes a deep breath* First off I think that I would have to state for the record that my only intolerance is the intolerance of others. A strange concept but, who you are each and every individual in a special arrangement of personality traits, life choices, upbringing, and the out come of all the thoughts and ideas that go through your head. To think that who you are in any way is wrong or hateful is simply sad, but to dislike someone else for who they have become is something that I view as foul. An being the person I am I feel as though I am no better than they are because of those intolerances that are directed onto others. Even for my closest friends or people who I just happen to meet along my lifes journey I feel as though shielding them with absolute acceptance along the way is a trifle thing, even if it is the only thing I have to give them. Becoming frustrated at a person who follows blindly what they are brought up to believe is so is only a sad side affect of my own personal faults. ^_^

. . . side note, kellyo, you havent quoted anything, you have just said that “god this and god that� . . . *shrugs* and Clampchick making a note of using spell check is so that everything he says via his take on god or not should be clarified by correct spelling ^_^ Also, your post did make sense and it was very much appreciated ^_^ . . . Knight128 . . . the majority of religions have set rules and outlines beliefs and codes of conduct. Oddly enough that is why Paganism is the worlds most rapidly growing religion, not because there is something right but because there is no set guidelines or codes. It is simply your own ideas and beliefs, you have no one to answer to but yourself. As for homosexuality – I absolutely agree with you – who does it bother if Joe and Bob get hitched? Their personal life is no one elses affair let alone to mention that it doesn’t affect anyone else but Joe and Bob. ^_^

In regards to xRedPhoenix *applauds* and you're totally right, even in this day the line between church and state is fuzzy at best. Especially with Bush attempting to make the school systems teach the story of Adam and Eve in schools. WTF? Even the phrase -In god we trust- printed on our currency and having so stated in our court houses and so many other idiotic situations such as having the ten commandments written and in view for the population at public and state funded sites. None of it makes and lick of sense if you think about it. Sad to admit that it is human nature to be contradictory so much so that do as I say not as I act is very familiar phrase. But then this country, USA, was taken over by religiously shunned Europeans a few hundred years ago and that is why there is still so many references to god in our current culture. *Sighs*

To say that you want someone to join you in a deep and spiritual journey, i.e. joining your church, but letting them know straight out that you do not accept them for who they are is far more than simple ironey. Personally I don't beleive in sin or the bible, life means far more to me than something I will give another human being the right to tell me how it works. I do not think that love can be twisted it just is and to say that homosexuality is not okay in any religion is incorrect. Paganisum and other religions as well see it as just human nature. To make one very broad assumption is very thinking.

I myself am bisexual, and you can say I was just born that way but it also has to do with my own personal views on the relationships between both men and women and so on and so forth. Firstly, a relationship with a person is based on emotional feelings, their personality traits, common interests, heh, I think you get the idea. Secondly, the concept of putting people in social, sexual, political, or religious categories never even really occurs to me, each person is a unique individual. Thirdly, the line between love and lust are vast, a very sad fact that the majority (heh, only said it because it was mentioned like 3 times in previous posts) of people seem to miss for some reason or another. Fourth . .ly? ^_^ Each body has its own beauty and each person their own strengths and weaknesses so, why should their sexual preference or the fact that they may be the same sex as you yourself are matter in the long run if you are either physically attracted to them or emotionally?

*Blinks* . . . And 50% of the population does not make something normal. Being normal is some weird idea that many individuals either do their best to become or try as they might go against it. *Shrugs* But hey, what ever floats your boat and makes you feel better. . . but trying to rate anything as normal can only lead to stuffing yourself in a box of what you think or dont think according to your own take on social norms. . . And for the guys who are all paranoid that some guy is going to hit on you, damn get a grip, if your not gay or if they arent a good friend joking with you, you are being overly judgmental and PARANOID. . . also, you�re probably way to full of your self and . . I love making walls, I find them to be somewhat therapeutic, and suddenly my stuff has been deleted, not too certain why, perhaps it is because I used the same figures twice, but all in all the pair represented so many possibility to touch on certain emotions and general waves of thought that using them twice was simply the out come to hours of work. I mean, if I submitted my more favorite of the two will it be accepted? I am still somewhat unsure as to why they were deleted but I would like to know your opinions on the subject, if you dont mind.
